Charles Hoskinson announces the development of a programming language for digital NFT tokens
Charles Hoskinson held a YouTube broadcast with Tamara Haasen, CEO of Input Output Global. In the conversation, the father of Cardano said that NFTs are the most important part of its crypto ecosystem:
«Right now, NFTs on Cardano are the most important part and the fastest growing asset. There are already 8 million of these tokens in the network. I think that most cryptocurrency projects are related to NFTs in one way or another. I am pleased to see this level of resilience, passion, and excitement.»
Currently, Cardano blockchain programmers are working on the implementation of the Marlowe programming language. This solution, according to the developers, will make the creation of NFT tokens more convenient and easier.
The team is also working on the Atala PRISM solution, an identification protocol built on the Cardano blockchain. The system will be linked to the NFT — each identifier, like each token, will be unique.
The programmers plan to link each token to a specific personal attribute of the user, such as a face scan or fingerprint, and then store this information on the blockchain. Hoskinson is sure that such an NFT will replace the usual ID card in the future.
As a reminder, the tech giant Amazon will soon start trading cryptocurrency tokens. Immediately after the platform’s launch, 15 NFT collections will be available, and they can be found on Amazon by going to the Amazon Digital Marketplace section. All NFT purchases will be made only through an Amazon account and with a credit card.
