Part of the funds raised at Bayraktar were received in cryptocurrency

8:07 pm, July 6, 2022

In three days, Serhiy Prytula’s charitable foundation raised UAH 600 million for four Bayraktar TB2 drones. Of the funds raised, more than UAH 8 million was received in cryptocurrency.

According to the press service of Serhiy Prytula’s foundation, UAH 5 million of the crypto contributions received were in USDT, almost UAH 2 million in bitcoin, and UAH 741,000 in ethereum. Interestingly, the smallest transaction in fiat currency amounted to 1 kopeck, and the largest was UAH 5 million.

Funds for the People’s Bairaktars are not the first charitable assistance to Ukrainians in cryptocurrency. In early May, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy launched United24, a fundraising platform that accepts cryptocurrency transfers ($ 70,518,663 has been raised so far). WhitePay, a cryptocurrency processing system that has developed a PoS terminal (accepting both fiat and cryptocurrency transfers), became a partner of the project. Depending on what the donor wants to send money for, the system directs them to the appropriate page with the targeted fee.
