Crypto.com integrates with cryptocurrency wallet manufacturer Ledger

3:12 pm, November 29, 2022

Cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com has announced a partnership with hardware storage company Ledger to expand its own wallet Crypto.com DeFi Wallet. In the future, this will allow the service’s customers to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) that have an increased level of security. Crypto.com DeFi Wallet will allow users to buy, sell, and exchange more than 1000 tokens, as well as staking and buying NFTs.

The company said that users can now import the Ledger hardware wallet in just a minute. Transactions will be protected as the user will personally confirm the transfer of funds on the device.

To connect to the extension, users should first go to the side menu, click the wallet import button, and connect Ledger. Then the user will need to select the correct network. Currently, the wallet extension supports EVM-compliant networks, including Crypto.org and Cosmos.

Later, the user will need to connect their hardware storage to the wallet and enter the PIN access code. It is important to make sure that the Ledger Live program is installed on your PC or smartphone with the network settings to which the wallet will be imported. After connecting, you will need to select the storage address. The specified user accounts will be displayed in the crypto wallet extension.

Crypto.com is not the first exchange to integrate Ledger to expand its crypto wallet, as Binance did so earlier this month. The new feature allows each cryptocurrency wallet owner to purchase more than 80 different types of digital assets, and payments can be made with a credit card from Visa or Mastercard.

This month, it became known that representatives of Crypto.com «accidentally» sent 320,000 Ethereum tokens to Gate.io. At the moment, the funds have been returned, but this is not the first time that Crypto.com has transferred significant amounts of money to unknown addresses.
