Yesterday, on October 20, the XRP XRP $0.56 XRP 2.77% Market capitalization $31.63 billion VOL. 24 hours $0.19 billion cryptocurrency rate recorded its best daily percentage gain in the last 3 months. This happened against the backdrop of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) withdrawing its charges against the executives of the fintech company Ripple. According to analytical trackers, the digital asset grew by 6.4% and traded at $ 0.51.

Almost three years ago, the SEC accused Ripple Labs of violating US securities laws. The claims were based on the alleged illegal raising of $ 1.3 billion by selling virtual tokens to investors.

After the news that the charges were dropped, the quotes of the digital asset XRP began to rise sharply. As a result, the virtual coin’s capitalization jumped by about $ 1.5 billion per day, and the total figure reached $ 27.32 billion. Trading volumes amounted to $ 1.66 billion.

At the time of writing, on October 21, XRP is trading at $ 0.517 with a market capitalization of $ 27.63 billion, a 0.23% drop. Traders made daily trading deals worth $ 808.18 million.

We recently reported that XRP was predicted to make a powerful 1137% jump. Crypto blogger Dark Defender expects an explosive growth of the altcoin. It could lead to the XRP token rising to a new all-time high, which will exceed the peak reached in 2018.

The analyst presented a scenario in which the XRP price could rise to $ 5.85. Dark Defender uses the five-wave theory to support his prediction, highlighting the third wave as the most important.
