The Central African Republic has developed a national cryptocurrency called Sango Coin
President Faustin-Arcange Touadera of the Central African Republic has launched Sango Coin, the country’s national cryptocurrency, at a special virtual event today.
«Sango Coin will be the next generation currency for the Central African Republic,» President Touadera said in his speech. The cryptocurrency’s website currently has a countdown timer — it is expected that all details about the new cryptocurrency will be published in 23 hours from the moment of writing this news (that's how much time is left on the timer).
Earlier, the Central African Republic became the first country on the African continent to legalize bitcoin and recognize it as an official means of payment.
