Digital artist who forged Bored Apes tokens expects monetary compensation from Yuga Labs representatives
Digital artist Ryder Ripps, who forged the Bored Apes NFT, said he expects $ 100 billion in compensation from Yuga Labs representatives.
According to Ryder Ripps, he has hired lawyers from WilmerHale to «fight» against Yuga Labs in court. According to the artist, he and his representatives will agree to a compromise only if they receive $ 100 billion to compensate for the «moral suffering» caused by Yuga Labs to the author of the pseudo-NFT.
Earlier, Yuga Labs, the founding company of the non-fungible token Bored Apes, sued Ryder Ripps and several of his partners, accusing them of producing and selling pseudo-NFTs that devalue the originals. Yuga Labs is seeking an injunction that would prohibit Ripps and his partners from «further interfering with the company’s prospective economic relationships,» as well as damages and attorneys' fees.

The war between Yuga Labs and Ryder Ripps began a long time ago — earlier, Ripps stated that he had «researched and found evidence of BAYC’s ties to the Nazis». The founders of BAYC denied these allegations.
