The researchers analyzed current trends in the development of metaverse and predicted their development in the future. Scientists believe that metaverse will offer 5 main activities: games, communication, fitness, commerce, and distance learning. At the same time, virtual advertising will bring the most revenue.

According to the survey, 60% of users prefer at least one type of activity in the metaverse compared to its alternative in real life. And 79% of respondents have made at least one purchase in virtual reality.

«Themetaverse, like the Internet, is the next platform through which we can work, live, communicate, and collaborate,» said researchers Lareina Yi and Eric Hazan.
