Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency portfolio fell by a record 94%

New data from Arkham Intelligence shows a sharp decline in President Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency portfolio: since his inauguration on January 20, 2025, assets have fallen from $ 11.49 million to less than $ 1 million, namely $ 704,845. This means a loss of about 94% of the value — a contrast to the optimism that accompanied his return to the White House and his statement of support for the crypto market.

The largest losses were incurred by tokens that emerged in the wake of the political hype. TROG, which was initially valued at $ 5.38 million, fell to $ 212 thousand after a 96% drop in price. TRUMP token depreciated by 98.6% from $ 1.6 million to $ 22 thousand, and GUA dropped by 99.1%, leaving only a few thousand dollars short of half a million.

Ethereum also had a significant impact on the result: the volume of ETH in the portfolio decreased from almost 500 coins to 6.65, and the value dropped from $ 1.64 million to $ 13 thousand.

The reasons for the decline are attributed to the general market volatility and asset specifics. Meme tokens, which were supported by political excitement, lost liquidity after the interest waned. The sales of ETH and WETH reflect a broader market correction, exacerbated by economic challenges and weakening risk appetite.

Analysts remind us that in early 2025, it was expected that Trump’s pro-crypto policy would be a driver of growth. However, the lack of large-scale deregulatory changes, political disputes in Congress, and global economic difficulties have destroyed these forecasts. As a result, the portfolio, which was supposed to be a symbol of political optimism, turned into an example of how quickly the cryptocurrency market can turn around.
