Research: 1 billion people will use bitcoin by 2030

Blockware Solutions, a blockchain infrastructure and bitcoin mining company, has released a report analyzing the pace of bitcoin adoption and what to expect in the future from the world’s No. 1 cryptocurrency. According to the firm’s analysis, at least 1 billion users will be using the BTC blockchain by 2030.

According to the company’s press release published on Thursday, the analysis uses the S-curve to build the future adoption of BTC in the global financial system.

The S-curve divides the process of introducing new technologies into five time phases. These groups are, in order, innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards. Theoretically, the greatest growth occurs in the early majority and late majority stages.

At the moment, the number of active users of the Bitcoin network is estimated at about 0.36% of the world’s population.
