A study has shown that almost half of cryptocurrency game users are bots
Levan Quirquelia, founder of Jigger software, published a report on the number of fake accounts in cryptocurrency games — about 40% of players on almost every platform are bots.
we detect bots and multi-accounts by linking wallets belonging to the same person
we take a list of token holders, put them on a graph, and link wallets using our algorithm. The result is more like a petri dish! See the colored clusters? these are bots at @Era7_official pic.twitter.com/vzEmzgtAge

As it became known, researchers found about 200,000 bots among users of 60 Web3 games. According to Luis Regis, CEO of Xborg, many games artificially increase the number of players by using bots to increase their popularity rating among competing applications.
It is worth noting that it is almost impossible to find out how bots appear on platforms, as fraudsters use VPN services to cover their tracks.
In addition to a large number of bots, cryptocurrency games are accused of lacking proper measures to ensure user security. Thus, according to representatives of the cybersecurity audit company Hacken, no P2E game has an insurance «airbag» that could help projects immediately recover funds in case of hacking and return them to players. Perhaps that’s why Axie Infinity users have been waiting for several months for their money to be returned, which was stolen by hackers.
