eBay acquires NFT token sales platform

The largest American online auction and bidding company eBay has announced the purchase of a platform for the sale of non-fungible tokens KnownOrigin. This was reported on the official website of eBay.

As eBay emphasized, the purchase of KnownOrigin is another step in building the brand of the technology giant. Details on financial aspects have not been disclosed yet, but KnownOrigin co-founder David Moore explained that the partnership with eBay will help the NFT market attract a new wave of developers and collectors. Considering that eBay is used by almost 35% of Americans, it will definitely help the market to get new participants.

Last year, eBay planned to buy and sell NFTs on its platform. And in May 2022, eBay announced the start of cooperation with the NFT platform OneOf and launched its own NFT collection.
