EGRAG Crypto: XRP has a chance to update the historical maximum

A cryptocurrency analyst under the pseudonym EGRAG Crypto predicts a significant increase in the price of XRP XRP $2.05 XRP -3.97% Market capitalization $119.2 billion VOL. 24 hours $0.77 billion to more than $ 3.84 in May-June 2025. This level is the asset’s all-time high reached in January 2018. The forecast is based on an analysis of historical market cycles and the behavior of the Relative Strength Index (RSI), which, according to the analyst, indicates a high probability of a repeat of the «double top» — a typical pattern for bullish market phases.

A similar scenario was already observed in 2017 and 2021. For example, in June 2017, XRP rose to $ 0.3988 with an RSI of 95, followed by a correction phase, and then a rise to a record high of $ 3.84. In January 2024, according to EGRAG, the asset again reached $ 3.4 with an RSI of 84, indicating a potential repeat of the 2017 scenario. After a consolidation period of 3−4 months, a possible breakout is expected.

Current trading is showing high volatility. In the recent session, XRP opened at $ 2.14, fluctuated between support at $ 2.07 and resistance at $ 2.11, and then recovered to $ 2.18. The dynamics were influenced by technical signals, including multiple golden crosses on the MACD indicator. Although the asset is currently in an overbought zone, no significant price drop has been recorded so far, and support at $ 2.12 remains stable.

XRP’s historical experience shows that it is able to recover quickly from downturns. During the 2021 bull run, despite legal challenges from the SEC to Ripple Labs, the asset rose from $ 0.79 to $ 1.97 in just four months. This has strengthened investor confidence in its long-term potential.

Although short-term corrections are not excluded, analysts believe that the overall market structure supports further growth of XRP. If strong buying pressure persists, the asset could repeat the success of previous cycles and surpass its record highs by mid-2025.
