An expert posing as a bitcoin developer is confident in the imminent fall of the most popular stablecoin USDT
Australian IT scientist Craig Wright, widely known to the crypto community as the self-proclaimed Сатоші Накамото" href="https://noworries.media/biography/satoshi-nakamoto/" data-bio-id="4232">Satoshi Nakamoto or Faketoshi, attacked the USDT stablecoin issued by Tether on Twitter.
Wright reminded the community of a recent statement by the US securities regulator SEC, which said that the «proof of reserves» often used by crypto exchanges to demonstrate their stability means nothing and proves nothing.
Therefore, in his opinion, the SEC plans to initiate tougher measures against the issuer of the largest stablecoin in the market by market capitalization. According to the expert, the regulatory body has only hinted at such a step, but avoids talking about it directly, fearing that it will destroy the entire cryptocurrency industry. The well-known anonymous blogger Mr. Whale agrees with him, concluding his tweet with the assumption that «Tether will go 100% bankrupt.»
The SEC is warning all investors that «proof of reserves» means nothing, and is hinting at enforcement action.
SEC is hinting at a #Tether crackdown. But doesn’t want to say it outright as they know it would cause the entire industry to collapse.

Craig Wright commented on this, saying that «they're [USDt] already bankrupt» and compared USDT to «a dead coin that keeps going.»
