FIFA is working on developing its own NFT store based on the Algorand blockchain
On the eve of the FIFA World Cup, representatives of the International Football Federation (FIFA) announced the launch of their own NFT platform for the sale of football-themed digital collectibles.
As it became known, the FIFA Collect platform will be launched in September on the basis of the Algorand blockchain. Users will be able to purchase unique non-fungible tokens with images of football highlights. It is interesting that during the 2022 FIFA World Cup (starting on November 21), developers will be creating NFTs, and depending on the development of events, new non-fungible tokens will be available for purchase immediately.
«Both traditional sports memorabilia and NFTs are an affordable way for fans around the world to keep in touch with their favorite players ,» said FIFA Chief Commercial Officer Romy Guy.
At the end of August, it became known that Brugu Software Solutions released Sport Fans NFT non-fungible sports tokens. By purchasing Sport Fans NFT, users have the opportunity to receive prizes from Brugu Software Solutions, including 1000 PlayStations and $ 500,000.
