Although SBF did not mention the FTT in its post, the fact that it appeared in public caused a wave of speculation in the market.

In his post, Benkman-Fried discussed the difficulty of firing employees, calling it one of the most difficult tasks in business. The post quickly went viral, garnering 8.3 million views. Against this backdrop, the price of FTT reached $ 2.24, but soon began to fall and at the time of writing was trading at $ 1.66.

At the same time, fraudsters tried to capitalize on the situation. One of the fake accounts SBF_DOGE launched a meme-coin whose market capitalization rose to $ 10 million before falling to $ 10,000. The account owner even spread fake news that Bankman-Fried had received a «pardon» from Donald Trump.

On the legal side, the former FTX executive continues to fight to reduce his sentence. His lawyers filed a request with the court, insisting on reducing the maximum term to 6.5 years. However, the final decision in this case has not yet been made.
