Metamask wallet launches cryptocurrency purchase service without the participation of cryptocurrency exchanges
Sardine, a financial platform offering instant payments via Alchemy Pay (ACH), and ConsenSys, a technology company that owns Metamask, have announced a partnership agreement. From now on, Americans will be able to buy cryptocurrencies directly from their bank accounts through the Metamask interface, without the need to use the services of cryptocurrency exchanges.
«Unlike the traditional scheme of purchasing crypto assets, instant payments through the ACH service allow you to buy cryptocurrencies almost instantly, around the clock, seven days a week and holidays,» Metamask said. To use the new ACH Instant Payments option, Metamask users must pass KYC verification on the Sardine platform. To combat fraud, Sardine has set purchase limits of $ 3,000 per day, $ 5,000 per week, and $ 25,000 per month.
For ConsenSys, the partnership agreement is a continuation of its support for Sardine in expanding its business. Earlier, the technology company behind Metamask participated in Sardine’s latest funding round.
In September, it became known that the Norwegian company Opera added support for MetaMask and other leading cryptocurrency wallets to its Opera Crypto browser. Users can select the desired wallet directly in the address bar using the Wallet Selector function. The extension automates the process of switching between applications when exchanging tokens or transactions.
