CEO of ARK Invest expects growth of the automotive industry by 4600% by 2030

Katie Wood, founder and CEO of investment management company Ark Invest, voiced an optimistic forecast of bitcoin’s value — Wood expects the HTS to grow by 4600% by 2030. Currently, the flagship cryptocurrency is trading at $ 20,593, up 1.62% per day.

Katie Wood shared her opinion on the future of the BTC in an interview with Bloomberg, where she emphasized that she sticks to the forecast of a bitcoin price of «$ 1 million or more» by 2030. According to the Ark Invest CEO, institutional investors perceive the fall of bitcoin as an opportunity to buy a digital asset at a lower price and expect its growth.

According to Katie Wood, blockchain is part of a group of technologies that offer opportunities for exponential growth. Similar sectors of the economy will grow more than 20 times in the next decade, Wood is convinced. «I've been in this business for 45 years and I’ve never seen such great opportunities as I see now,» the Ark Invest CEO said frankly in the In the Know podcast back in May.

Regarding Wood’s recent statements, last week she said that the flagship cryptocurrency could become a more valuable asset than most fiat currencies, including the US dollar. The expert said that when bitcoin was worth only $ 250, she asked renowned economist Art Laffer to study the Bitcoin White Paper. Wood wanted to consult with other professional analysts and determine whether BTC could fulfill the role of fiat money, i.e., be a means of saving and a unit of account.

In the course of his research, Laffer discovered that bitcoin has the potential to be an asset that supports the value of the US dollar. «I've been looking for a similar asset since we abandoned the gold standard. Bitcoin is a monetary system based on clear and strict rules. Bitcoin is as powerful as the entire US monetary system ,» Laffer explained at the time.
