Coinbase CEO: cryptocurrency will recover, taking 15% of global GDP

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has demonstrated an optimistic approach to the current market downtrend and said that cryptocurrencies could grow to 15% of global GDP in 20 years.

Speaking at Coinbase’s first quarter earnings report, Armstrong said that the state of affairs on the market reminds him of the beginning of the widespread use of the Internet, the dot-com bubble, and the subsequent extreme growth of this segment. He added that most companies will eventually use cryptography in one way or another in the future, just as they had to go online once.

It is worth reminding that Coinbase has recently been sued, and Mr. Armstrong himself is trying to prove that users' bitcoins are properly protected.
