Head of KuCoin denies rumors about suspension of withdrawals and threatens to sue
CEO Johnny Liu said that the company has no plans to stop withdrawals and that KuCoin is working as it has been working — there are no problems with the platform. «KuCoin reserves the right to sue those who intentionally spread information that compromises its project,» Liu said in a tweet.
«I don’t know who is spreading these outright rumors and what their intentions are, but KuCoin has nothing to do with LUNA, 3AC, Babel, etc. No 'huge problems' from any crash of any coin, no plans to suspend withdrawals, everything on KuCoin is working well,» he wrote.
The CEO added: «For FUD-ers who intentionally spread unverified information, KuCoin reserves the right to take legal action.» FUD is a media term that stands for the manipulation technique of «fear, uncertainty, and doubt.» FUD news refers to attacks on commercial entities to create panic.
KuCoin is the fifth largest crypto exchange with 18 million users in 207 countries.
