Google has invested more than $ 1.5 billion in the company’s blockchain

The international conglomerate of companies Alphabet Inc., which includes Google, has invested $ 1.56 billion in blockchain companies in the United States over the past year.

According to Blockdata researchers, Alphabet Inc. has become a leader among large international corporations investing in the cryptocurrency sector. The second place was taken by Blackrock, whose representatives invested $ 1.17 billion in the blockchain, and Morgan Stanley — $ 1.1 billion. Samsung took the fourth place with $ 979 million, and Goldman Sachs came in fifth with $ 698 million.

In late July, Google Pay, a mobile payment system, announced the launch of cryptocurrency payments with the Crypto.com exchange. From now on, Android users will be able to buy, sell, and exchange cryptocurrencies through Google Pay, which is used by more than 100 million people. Obviously, such cooperation is beneficial for both parties — Google Pay expands its functions and keeps up with the times, while Crypto.com increases its customer base and, consequently, its profits.

As for the tech giant Samsung, the company’s representatives recently signed a cooperation agreement with the platform developer Theta Labs — the partners will work on the creation of the Galaxy NFT ecosystem. Apparently, Galaxy NFT will cooperate with Samsung’s virtual space Space Tycoon in the Roblox meta-universe. The launch of Space Tycoon became known in early July.
