Hackers hacked BNB Chain’s account on the X platform

The official Chinese account of BNB Chain on the social network X (formerly Twitter) has been hacked. Former Binance CEO Чанпен Чжао" href="https://noworries.news/biography/chanpen-chzhao/" data-bio-id="3681">Changpeng Zhao (CZ) reported the incident to Binance/status/1 973 238 274 241 208 576«>, urging users not to click on suspicious links.

The attackers published a series of posts with phishing sites that encouraged users to connect their wallets via Wallet Connect. BNB Chain confirmed the attack and emphasized: «Do not connect your wallet.» The company’s security service requested that X block the account and remove the malicious content, and also submitted requests to eliminate the identified phishing resources.

Among the materials published by the fraudsters was a post with the inscription «$ 4 for a meme», a wallet, and an image of Changpeng Zhao. Binance confirmed the hack on its Chinese account and urged users to be cautious.

Similar attacks on well-known X accounts occur regularly. In 2024−2025, they affected MicroStrategy, several popular scam token advertising accounts, the OpenAI press service, and the Nasdaq exchange account, which fraudsters used to promote the STONKS memecoin. Its capitalization temporarily increased to $ 85 million and later dropped to $ 600,000.
