Hackers leaked personal data of 13 million Binance customers to the network
Recently, the crypto community has reported a possible data leak of almost 13 million Binance users. An anonymous hacker on a darknet forum claims that the leak included names, email addresses, phone numbers, and home information of users.
It should be emphasized that the information has not yet been officially confirmed, but the incident raises serious concerns about the security and privacy of users. The hacker group behind this particular leak, known as «Greavys,» sells data via Telegram. This group has been previously linked to phishing attacks and other cyberattacks on cryptocurrency users.
Binance representatives denied these claims. They said that the cryptocurrency exchange’s security team has not found any evidence or any signs of leakage of confidential customer data. Nevertheless, users are advised to be vigilant and take precautions, such as two-factor authentication, to minimize possible risks.
Earlier, Binance froze all funds belonging to Palestinian users at the request of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The assets will not be returned, and all attempts to appeal have been rejected.
