Hackers try to disable the popular Stepn app

10:32 pm, June 5, 2022

This weekend, the popular crypto pyramid game Stepn (Move2Earn format) suffered a series of DDoS attacks, the third such incident in the last few months.

«We have seen many DDOS attacks in the last hours,» the game’s founders tweeted, «Server protection improvements and recovery work may take from 1 to 12 hours.»

In another tweet, the developers advised to take a break from training: «We recommend that you get some rest during the maintenance, otherwise your workouts may not be recorded correctly. Our engineers are working diligently to fix the issues.» It should be noted that yesterday the game was also experiencing significant loads.

Perhaps someone doesn’t like the Stepn project very much — earlier DDoS attacks were attempted in May and April. And recently, under pressure from the Chinese authorities, the project was shut down throughout mainland China.
