Hackers hacked the website of the Russian ministry and demanded a ransom in cryptocurrency

4:45 pm, June 6, 2022

Last night, a team of hackers attacked the website of the Russian Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, RBC journalists report. The hackers changed the site’s header to «Glory to Ukraine» and warned that the entire database had been exported.

DumpForums.com (as the team called themselves) demanded to pay 0.5 bitcoin to their cryptocurrency wallet by June 7, otherwise all the data of the ministry’s employees will become public.

The hackers' announcement has now been removed, and the website reports «technical work.» «The personal data of our website is protected and regularly monitored, there is no threat to it, it is safe,» said a representative of the ministry.
