Elon Musk is convinced that the head of the scandalous FTX cryptocurrency exchange bribed the US authorities
Billionaire and Twitter owner Elon Musk believes that the chairman of the bankrupt FTX exchange, Sam Bankman-Fried, bribed the US Democratic Party by allocating more money to their election campaign than official sources say.
Elon Musk talked about SBF’s donations to the Democrats on Twitter with ScienceIO CEO Will Manidis, who published his own point of view on the matter. Manidis called Benkman-Fried a «brilliant» investor — thanks to his $ 40 million donation, the head of the bankrupt company has not yet been imprisoned for stealing about $ 10 billion in investor funds. ScienceIO’s CEO hints at personal agreements between Democrats and Sam Bankman-Fried.
That’s just the publicly disclosed number. His actual support of Dem elections is probably over $ 1B. The money went somewhere, so where did it go?

Elon Musk suggested that the real amount of Fried’s sponsorship of the Democratic Party is even more than $ 1 billion. The businessman also asked where this money is now, but there is no answer to this question yet. Not all members of the cryptocurrency community supported Musk’s theory, as there is no real evidence to support his words.
As a reminder, Sam Bankman-Fried's and FTX’s donations became known in early November — more than $ 70 million from the exchange for political campaigns during the 2021/2022 US election cycle and $ 40 million from Fried personally to sponsor Democratic campaigns during the 2022 midterm elections.
FTX’s collapse occurred immediately after the midterm elections to the Senate, which raised a number of suspicions about the external financing of political party funds. Federal regulators and law enforcement agencies stated that they «faced a conflict of interest in identifying, investigating, and disrupting the Sam Bankman-Fried fraudulent scheme.»
