Elon Musk sues Twitter

According to Reuters, Elon Musk has filed a counterclaim against Twitter. In the lawsuit, he emphasizes his right to refuse to buy the company for 44 billion.

The report says that the lawsuit was filed on Friday, just hours after the court set a date for the start of hearings in the Twitter vs. Judge Kathleen McCormick of the Delaware Chancery Court ordered the trial to begin on October 17. The hearing is expected to determine whether Musk can withdraw from the deal.

As a reminder, on July 8, Musk filed a notice of withdrawal from the Twitter acquisition deal, accusing the platform of a large percentage of fake accounts. And on July 12, Twitter sued Musk to force him to buy the platform for about $ 44 billion. Amid these events, Twitter shares fell by 7%.
