Elon Musk will develop a space cryptocurrency for future inhabitants of Mars
Billionaire and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk may start developing the space cryptocurrency Red Planet Inu, as the planned human mission to Mars is only 2 years away.
People close to the billionaire told us about Musk’s plans to create his own cryptocurrency that can be used to pay on Mars. Perhaps the new token will be called Red Planet Inu, and investors who decide to invest in it on Earth will sponsor the future flight to Mars. However, this idea is currently under discussion.
It is worth noting that a cryptocurrency for Mars already exists, it was created back in 2014 and is called MarsCoin. A few years ago, the founders of the token donated 400,000 MarsCoins to the Mars One project, which aimed to organize a space expedition to Mars, but the idea was never realized. Given that the MarsCoin cryptocurrency did not gain the desired popularity and did not go viral, Elon Musk has every chance to create his own successful space token.
According to Elon Musk, it is crucial for people to explore Mars and create habitable conditions there. After all, «in 500 million years, the Earth will become too hot for life,» so we should be prepared for anything, the billionaire believes.
In addition to the flight to Mars and the development of space cryptocurrency, Elon Musk has not forgotten about the Moon and his favorite Dogecoin. Thus, the DOGE-1 mission to the Moon is scheduled for the end of 2022. In addition to the DOGE-themed branding of the spacecraft, it is planned to deliver the IM-1 module from Intuitive Machines to the Moon, which is the main payload. Interestingly, the mission was originally scheduled for early 2022, but due to problems with IM-1, the launch had to be postponed.
We also remind you that on September 30, Elon Musk presented the first ever humanoid robot from Tesla. The estimated cost of one Tesla Optimus is $ 20,000. The concept of a general-purpose humanoid robot was first introduced more than a year ago to replace most of the routine human labor. Musk emphasized that his robots will not take away jobs from people and will not seek to destroy humanity. Musk emphasized that various analogs of humanoid robots are «brainless,» and Optimus will be an «extremely fit robot» because it will be controlled by an artificial intelligence system.
