Elon Musk will send Dogecoin cryptocurrency to the moon at the end of 2022
the «DOGE-1 mission to the Moon», as Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk called it, will take place later this year. The information was announced by journalist Michael Schitz on Twitter.
An Intuitive Machines spokesperson said the company is targeting IM-1 launch by December, with a more specific window to be released three months prior to launch.

In addition to the DOGE-themed branding of the spacecraft, it is planned to deliver the IM-1 module from Intuitive Machines to the moon, which is the main payload. This is the reason for the launch delay.
Initially, the mission was scheduled for early 2022. This announcement caused a significant increase in the price of the meme cryptocurrency last year. Interestingly, despite the recent market correction, the billionaire confirmed that he continues to support the token. However, this has led to a lawsuit that lawyers will have to deal with.
