Elon Musk says he will continue to finance Starlink for Ukraine even if there is no Pentagon support
Musk will not turn off Starlink in Ukraine, even if the Pentagon does not pay for it, the SpaceX founder said on Twitter.
«…I told Mykhailo Fedorov (Deputy Prime Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine) that SpaceX will not turn off Starlink, even if the US Department of Defense refuses to provide funding ,» Musk wrote.
Before DoD even came back with an answer, I told @FedorovMykhailo that SpaceX would not turn off Starlink even if DoD refused to provide funding

Recently, 27 foreign ministers representing the European Union discussed Starlink services in Ukraine. Gabrielius Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, said: «…It would probably be much better to have a contractual agreement between a coalition of countries that could buy Starlink services from Mr. Musk and continue to provide them to Ukraine.» The Lithuanian foreign minister also said that several EU countries have expressed a personal interest in financing Starlink services in Ukraine.
Earlier, Musk wrote that his company SpaceX «cannot finance the current system indefinitely» and asked the Pentagon to take over the payment for Starlink services in Ukraine. However, the billionaire later changed his mind and also announced the cost of servicing Internet terminals for Ukraine. On October 17, Musk announced that Starlink would start supporting the option of donations from users.
