Musk spoke about the platform’s new record a day after his first address to new employees. Then he outlined a grim prospect that could theoretically happen to the company in the future — if Twitter does not raise additional funding, the social network risks declaring insolvency. Musk noted that the deficit could be more than $ 1 billion.
As the number of active users on Twitter grows, the social network’s community is expressing concern about the paid verification service, which allows ordinary users to have «blue ticks» if they are paid for. Previously, such verification was only available to celebrities, politicians, and diplomats. The social network’s support team has made a number of adjustments to minimize the abuse of the opportunity to increase one’s Twitter status.

«To combat impersonation, we’ve added an 'Official' label to some accounts,» Twitter Support wrote this morning.
the «official» label will eventually distinguish between those who have been authenticated by Twitter (to prevent the spread of bots) and those who pay for a Twitter Blue subscription. It is expected that well-known Twitter users with «blue check marks» will lose their special profile verification label.
