The developers of the popular cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask have reported the possibility of phishing attacks on iPhone, Mac, and iPad users.

All users who have not turned off automatic backup of MetaMask data to iCloud are at risk. The fact is that private keys used when working with the wallet are stored as an encrypted password in iCloud storage by default.
Accordingly, if attackers have access to iCloud, they will also have access to crypto assets.
A few days ago, Twitter user @revive_dom reported that he had lost digital assets and NFTs totaling $ 650,000 due to this very issue. The attackers used a fake caller ID to call the user and ask for the password to restore access to the Apple ID. After passing the information to the hackers, @revive_dom lost his savings.
