Spain becomes the leader in Europe in terms of the number of cryptocurrency ATMs
It has been reported that Spain has overtaken El Salvador to become the third largest center in the world in terms of the number of cryptocurrency ATMs. In addition, the country ranked first in Europe by this indicator. Currently, the country has 215 ATMs that allow exchanging crypto for fiat money and vice versa.
According to official data, Spain’s share in terms of the number of cryptomachines is 14.65% of the total number of installed units on the European continent. It is followed by: Switzerland (144 ATMs), Poland (142 units), and Romania (135 ATMs).
Calculations based on information from the last 60 days show that about seven crypto ATMs are installed around the world every day.
The data shows that cryptocurrency ATMs are most popular not among tourists, as one might assume, but among the ordinary population of the country where the ATM is installed. This once again shows the growing acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
