The number of owners of 1 bitcoin has set a new record

2:43 pm, August 9, 2023

The number of addresses with at least one bitcoin has reached a new record high of 1,013,414. Crypto industry analysts are convinced that this is due to growing expectations of an increase in the price of the flagship crypto asset.

At the same time, the number of addresses where 0.1 BTC is stored has reached 4,436,238 for the first time. The record was set by Glassnode experts on August 8.

Both records are interconnected, as the number of addresses that store 1 BTC affects the number of addresses that store 0.1 BTC or more. Glassnode analysts provide a graph:

At the time of writing, bitcoin can be purchased for $ 29,805. The total amount of coins circulating on the market is $ 579.8 billion. Traders made daily trading deals worth $ 21.4 billion. The market share of BTC is 48.9%.

Today, for the first time in two weeks, bitcoin rose in price by more than 1%. Analysts attributed this to the downgrade of small and medium-sized US banks. As it became known, the Moody’s rating agency downgraded the credit ratings of 10 financial institutions.
