Twitter users vote to dismiss Elon Musk from the position of the platform’s head
The eccentric Twitter CEO Elon Musk has launched a poll on his page where users can vote for his resignation. As the billionaire promised, if the majority of social media users are in favor, he will step down as head of the platform. «Should I resign as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll ,» Musk wrote.

At the time of writing, there are 4 hours left in the poll, so anyone who wants to "save" Twitter from Elon Musk should hurry. As of now, 56.6% supported Musk's dismissal, while 43.4% voted against such changes. In total, more than 13 million users took part in the survey.
Before the poll was published, the billionaire warned of upcoming changes to Twitter and updates to the social network's policy. Musk also apologized for his previous actions and said: "It won't happen again."
Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes. My apologies. Won’t happen again.

It is believed that Musk decided to conduct such a survey after a wave of negative feedback from users due to the latest innovations on the platform — recently, the billionaire’s actions regarding Twitter have raised more questions than answers. Most recently, the head of the social network decided to sell the personal data of users who do not pay for a premium subscription and announced that the platform would sell verification checkmarks for iOS devices at 30% higher price.
Elon Musk also started blocking those who disagree with the new censorship rules of the social network. Even Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, got under the hot seat. The developer called the platform’s new policy authoritarian and tried to share a link to Twitter’s competitor, the new social network Mastodon, with his followers. However, his tweet was blocked by moderators.
