Binance Crypto Exchange to Launch NFT Collection to Help Ukrainians
Crypto exchange Binance has announced the launch of a charity NFT collection Dial 103 to Save a Life in cooperation with the United Ukraine Foundation. The crypto exchange announced this on its website.
The funds raised will be used to purchase 103 ambulances to save Ukrainians in hot spots. To do this, the team needs to raise £1,750,000. The project will present three collections, with the first one costing 38 BUSD, the second 98 BUSD, and the third 449 BUSD (BUSD is a regulated stablecoin pegged to the US dollar).
The auction will start on June 16 at 13:00 on Binance NFT, which uses the same account system as Binance.com. Holders of each NFT will have the opportunity to be the first to know about the events at the United Ukraine Foundation and participate in the life of the organization.
«Binance has been actively supporting Ukrainians and initiating charitable programs since the very first days. NFT auctions have also become a very effective tool for collecting humanitarian aid for the people of Ukraine. For our part, we are always ready to provide our infrastructure for organizing and launching humanitarian NFT projects. Together, we are helping our country,» said Kirill Khomyakov, General Manager of Binance Ukraine.
«The value of these NFTs is literal — people’s lives are saved. This distinguishes the project from millions of other collections and is «the main reason why it is worth supporting this initiative,» which is not the first assistance from Binance to Ukraine. Recently, the crypto exchange signed a cooperation agreement with the Drohobych District Administration to financially support internally displaced Ukrainians. Social assistance will be credited to citizens' crypto wallets, from which they will be able to withdraw funds to a bank card.
