OKX Crypto Exchange Becomes a Sponsor of a Film Festival and Will Start Paying Actors' Salaries in Cryptocurrency
The American Tribeca Film Festival and cryptocurrency platform OKX have signed a sponsorship agreement worth tens of millions of dollars.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the cooperation will last for three years. It is planned that OKX will teach filmmakers and movie lovers all the intricacies of cryptocurrencies and Web3 technology, finance the production of films in metaverse, and enable actors to receive salaries in cryptocurrency.
Tribeca CEO Jane Rosenthal said that this year the festival will introduce its own NFT tokens and will dive even deeper into NFT in the near future: «We want to help creators. Therefore, over the next few years, we will study all the subtleties, help NFT artists, and cooperate with vendors such as Facebook to create the appropriate software.»
Earlier, OKX crypto exchange has already signed a partnership agreement with the English Premier League champion Manchester City and started cooperation with the leading Formula 1 team McLaren Racing.
