Cryptocurrency bitcoin fell by $ 400 in 10 minutes

This morning, at around 8:00 a.m. Kyiv time, the value of the flagship cryptocurrency dropped from $ 27,600 to $ 27,200 in just 10 minutes. Then, within an hour, the price of BTC dropped to $ 27,000.

According to CoinGecko, the digital asset is currently trading at $ 27,190, having fallen by 2.2% per day. The total market capitalization of the crypto market decreased by 1.4% to $ 1.18 trillion, with a daily trading volume of $ 39 billion. Bitcoin occupies 44.2% of the cryptocurrency market, Ethereum — 18.9%, and Tether (USDT) is in third place with 7% of the market.

Ethereum fell by 1.7% to $ 1,870 in 24 hours, Polygon (MATIC) — by 1.6% to $ 0.89, Cardano (ADA) — by 1.3% to $ 37, Solana (SOL) — by 0.5% to $ 20.7. The XRP exchange rate, unlike other leading cryptocurrencies, rose by 0.3% to $ 0.50.

The Fear and Greed Index remained at 51 points out of 100 for the second day in a row. The index indicates neutral sentiment on the crypto market, with investors' caution and interest in buying cryptocurrencies at the same level.

Over the past day, 34,000 traders' positions totaling $ 79 million were liquidated on crypto exchanges. According to Coinglass, 74% of them were long.

Bitcoin orders accounted for $ 23.9 million, Ethereum — $ 13.4 million, and XRP (XRP) is in third place, with $ 4.8 million in positions liquidated — mostly shorts, as the asset has risen in price over the past 24 hours.
