MATIC Cryptocurrency Grows by 10% After Announcing Blockchain Cooperation with Mercedes

German car manufacturer Mercedes has announced the launch of its own blockchain service Acentrik, which will be developed and launched by representatives of the Polygon blockchain.

After the announcement of the cooperation between Mercedes and Polygon, the native blockchain token MATIC grew by 10%. The MATIC cryptocurrency price rose from $ 0.87 to $ 0.96, but at the time of writing, the token price dropped to $ 0.94.

According to the developers, Acentrik’s decentralized service will offer companies to store, process, protect, and transfer data (insurance information, customer base, etc.) in the NFT format. Transactions will be conducted on the Polygon blockchain or the Ethereum Rinkeby testnet, and users will be able to pay for purchases with MATIC tokens or stablecoins.

As a reminder, MATIC token recently grew by almost 30% per day and almost 70% over the past 7 days. The value of the cryptocurrency has increased due to the announcement of Polygon blockchain’s cooperation with Disney (the startup became the only participant in the Disney acceleration program among all blockchain projects). Also, Polygon (MATIC) was ranked second in the ranking of the most profitable altcoins on the market in terms of total capitalization.
