Cryptocurrency exchange AEX suspends operations due to police investigation

AEX, one of the TOP-100 largest cryptocurrency projects, has announced that it will suspend operations and services to its customers for the duration of the police investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by the police of the South China’s Guangxi region. It is not specified what the case is directly related to. The cryptocurrency exchange was shut down an hour earlier today. The team does not name a possible timeframe for the resumption of work, referring to future messages from police representatives.

AEX holds about 0.16% of the market share among all exchanges, with a daily trading volume of more than $ 100 million. More than 200 different tokens have been placed on the platform.
