Binance Cryptocurrency Exchange to Train 1000 Ukrainians in IT Specialties
Crypto exchange Binance and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine have announced the launch of a new project called IT Generation. As part of the partnership, Binance Charity will allocate $ 1 million in BUSD to provide scholarships to 1000 Ukrainians.
«We aim to support Ukrainians who want to start their career in one of the most promising industries, as well as help refugees and internally displaced persons who lost their jobs due to the war by retraining them for popular IT positions. All for the sake of victory and a successful future for Ukraine,» Binance emphasized.
The project is a part of the Binance Scholar educational program, which helps students find a job. The training will be provided by licensed Ukrainian EdTech companies, including ITEA and Beetroot. Students will be able to choose the areas of their interest (FrontEnd, QA, JavaScript, Python, Java or blockchain development, management, UX/UI design, digital marketing, business analytics, or HR).
According to the crypto exchange’s official website, the project is open to Ukrainian citizens aged 21 to 60. Candidates must not have studied IT before and have no experience in this field. Any other education or work experience is allowed. Participants will be able to choose a course on the company’s website, which lasts at least 2 months; online or offline learning format is allowed and its total cost does not exceed $ 1,000.
Since the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Binance has made and continues to make the most significant contribution to helping Ukrainians among cryptocurrency companies. In addition to financial support for Ukrainian refugees, Binance has launched a hryvnia gift card. With this card, users can transfer hryvnias to crypto exchanges without a commission. Also in early June, Binance announced the launch of a charity NFT collection «Dial 103 — Save a Life» in cooperation with the United Ukraine Foundation.
