Cryptocurrency exchange Binance starts NFT partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will join forces with Binance to create a series of NFT collections that will be launched exclusively on the Binance NFT platform.

The first collection, scheduled to launch later this year, will feature iconic designs created in collaboration with Ronaldo. «For me, nothing is more important than the fans, so I wanted to be part of this idea, to bring an unprecedented experience and access through this platform,» says Ronaldo. «I know the fans will enjoy this collection as much as I do.»

As a reminder, in early June, the English Premier League (EPL) filed two applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), thus confirming its plans to launch a metaverse (NFTs are also planned). And in May, an anti-campaign erupted on social media after Michael Owen’s decision to release his collection of NFT tokens. In particular, social media users were surprised by the pyramid-like scheme of the new collection.
