Cryptocurrency exchange Binance denies accusations of helping hackers

9:49 am, June 7, 2022

Yesterday, Reuters Binance-u-tomu-shho-kryptobirzha-dopomogla-hakeram-vyvesty-ponad-2-milyardy-dolariv/">accused the largest crypto exchange of having more than $ 2 billion stolen and laundered by hackers around the world (including North Korea) from 2017 to 2021. Today, the exchange responded with a denial.

In a tweet, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said the following: «Exposing FUD. This is more than 50 pages of email correspondence between our cybersecurity team (including former law enforcement officials) and journalists that are misleading and wasting time. If you have enough time, please look at the details and find out the truth for yourself.»

It should be noted that immediately after the Reuters investigation was published, it became known that the Securities Commission had launched an investigation into Binance’s activities during the 2017 ICO.
