Cryptocurrency exchange Binance to remove AMP token due to fear of regulator

A leading cryptocurrency exchange has Binance.us/binance-us-update-on-amp/">announced its intention to delist the AMP (Flexa network) token from its US platform on August 15. The decision was made after the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) recognized AMP as a security.

Although AMP had previously passed the risk assessment process that the exchange uses to decide whether to list a token, the recent SEC decision prompted the company to delist the token «out of an abundance of caution.»

Binance has indicated that it will wait for further regulatory clarity before re-listing the token. The exchange hinted that AMP will only be removed from its Binance. US platform. This means that Binance customers from other parts of the world will likely have access to AMP trading services.

AMP deposits will be closed on August 15 at 21:00 EST, and the AMP/USD trading pair will be removed two hours after that.
