WhiteBit cryptocurrency exchange is available without electricity and internet thanks to USSD

The Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBit has announced technological integration with lifecell, allowing its customers to conduct crypto transactions without the Internet via USSD requests. To find out the balance on your Whitebit account or transfer your digital assets, you just need to enter a certain combination of numbers on your phone.

USSD is a standard service in GSM networks that allows for interactive interaction between the subscriber and the service program through short messages. No Internet connection is required to perform operations, and the function is designed for any type of mobile device. To be able to manage your crypto-savings even without electricity, you need to be a lifecell subscriber and connect your number to your WhiteBit account. Without a network connection, lifecell and WhiteBit customers can:

• check their balance;
• monitor the cryptocurrency and fiat exchange rates;
• transfer funds between balances;
• make exchanges;
• generate an address to replenish the balance.

According to the exchange’s representatives, it is not necessary to connect your phone number to your account to check the cryptocurrency rate. It is enough to enter the combination *142#. In the menu that opens, you can see the cryptocurrency rate by the number 2.

It is worth reminding that it was the WhiteBit exchange that allowed replenishing the cryptocurrency balance in EasyPay and IBox terminals at the end of November. With the WhiteEX card, each user can top up their account at more than 30,000 EasyPay and IBox terminals. In addition, WhiteEX offers cryptocurrency exchange customers the lowest deposit fee — through EasyPay and IBox terminals, users will pay only 1.1% of the deposit amount.
