Cryptocurrency platform Coinbase has launched a movie featuring NFT tokens from BAYC

Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has posted the first part of the movie featuring characters from the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection on its Twitter page.

As it became known, the interactive movie «The Degen Trilogy» consists of three parts, the first of which is called «RUN THE CHAIN» and lasts about 5 minutes. The movie features BAYC tokens and the ApeCoin cryptocurrency. According to Coinbase representatives, users can contribute to the creation of the movie and make their non-fungible tokens known by registering on the Coinbase NFT trading platform.

As some users have suggested, the call to register on Coinbase NFT is a marketing ploy by the company’s representatives. In early July, it became known that Coinbase NFT failed to attract enough users — the average daily trading volume on Coinbase, as of July 8, was 2000 times lower than that of its main competitor OpenSea.

It is worth noting that filming in The Degen Trilogy is not the only participation of BAYC’s NFT in the movie industry. In June, it became known that the non-fungible Bored Ape token No. 8398 became the main character of the NFT series White Horse Tavern. The token has a «difficult fate» because hackers stole Bored Ape #8398 before the presentation of the trailer for the new series. However, the owner of the star NFT, actor Seth Green, managed to get his bored monkey back after a while.
