Cryptocurrency platform develops NFT T-shirts for cryptocurrency mining

Cryptocurrency exchange TIDEX has announced the pre-sale of NFT T-shirts for cryptocurrency mining, TIDEX representatives have reported on their official website.

NFT T-shirts have a «unique» mining technology integrated into them, which allows mining various tokens in unlimited quantities every day, including TDX, BTC, ETH, and USDT. In total, TIDEX will issue 10,000 of these T-shirts: half of them will allow mining the TIDEX platform token (TDX), and the other half can be used to mine other crypto assets listed on the exchange.

The pre-sale will start on July 15, according to TIDEX representatives, the first 3000 NFT T-shirts will be available at a 25% discount: 1500 T-shirts for 750 USDT and 1500 T-shirts for 1250 USDT. The rest of the T-shirts will be available for purchase from September 1, 2022 (a week before the launch of the TIDEX meta-universe).

As a reminder, traditional mining methods are currently experiencing difficult times due to falling cryptocurrency prices, rising electricity costs, and difficult weather conditions. Thus, due to the intense heat, Texas cryptocurrency miners stopped their work (the temperature in Dallas exceeded about 37°C). According to Lee Bratcher, a representative of the Texas Blockchain Association, commercial mining operations, which account for 1000 MW of electricity, have been stopped. Among the miners that have stopped their work: Argo Blockchain PLC, Riot Blockchain, Core Scientific. It is currently unknown when exactly the miners will be able to resume mining cryptocurrencies and whether the pause in their work will affect the virtual asset market.
