Cryptocurrency analysts name the country whose residents are most interested in NFTs

СashNetUSA analysts have identified the countries most interested in NFTs, with the city-state of Singapore taking the first place. The data was obtained by analyzing NFT search queries of residents of some countries in March 2022. The analysts calculated the number of searches per 1 million people. The team also examined Twitter posts that included «NFT».

According to the study, in Singapore, 18,717 searches per 1 million inhabitants were related to non-fungible tokens. Hong Kong, Canada, Iceland, and the United States are among the five countries most interested in NFTs .

Montenegro took the top spot on the list of countries that like NFTs the most, posting 862 (out of 1000) positive NFT-related tweets. Colombia, France, Lebanon, and Vietnam are also on the list of fans of non-fungible tokens.

Users from Poland, Nicaragua, Ireland, Jamaica, and Kosovo have the highest number of negative posts about NFTs.

Like any virtual technology, NFTs have both supporters and haters. Recently, billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates said during TechCrunch Sessions that the popularity of cryptocurrencies and NFT projects is based on the «great fool» theory. According to Gates, crypto assets are based on a fraudulent scheme: an asset bought for too high a price will be sold for more money to «an even bigger fool than the previous buyer.»
