Fortune magazine has published the Crypto 40 list of projects and companies that are most important for the crypto sphere. The best blockchain, according to Fortune analysts, is Ethereum, not Bitcoin.
Fortune is known for its lists, such as the Fortune 500, which highlight the largest US companies by revenue. The «Crypto 40» rating consists of eight categories, with five places in each:
- Centralized Funding (CeFi) — Coinbase
- Traditional financing (TradFi) — PayPal
- Venture capital (VC) — Polychain Capital
- Non-fungible tokens (NFT) — OpenSea
- Data — Chainalysis
- Infrastructure —Ledger
- Decentralized finance (DeFi) — Uniswap
- Protocol — Ethereum Foundation
Among the protocols, Ethereum was the leader, Bitcoin was in second place, and Polygon was in third. In the DeFi category, the top 5 best projects are based on Ethereum, which turned out to be the undisputed leader of the entire rating.
In addition to developers and industry experts, many investors are also betting on the promising future of Ethereum. Thus, venture capitalist and partner at Placeholder Chris Burniske is convinced that the cryptocurrency market will continue to grow in the near future, and the ETH rate will reach $ 10,000. «Earlier, skeptics did not believe in ETH at $ 1, then $ 10, $ 100, and $ 1,000, but we have seen these peaks.
