Cryptocurrency hackers launch fake token after attack on Binance network, first victims reported
Cryptocurrency hackers who attacked the BNB Smart Chain network of Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, launched a fake token immediately after the exploit.
The attackers managed to earn more than 60 ETH by passing off their token as BNB. The hackers have minted more than 1 quadrillion BNBHACKERINU, hoping to raise even more money. Currently, Binance has notified the cryptocurrency community about the fake BNBHACKERINU token and others that hackers may create in the near future.
📢BNB Smart Chain (BSC) is running ok from 20+ mins ago.
The validators are confirming their status and the community infrastructure are upgrading as well.

At the time of writing, the BNB Chain network has resumed its work, and validators have updated the code. Such actions are necessary to suspend the hacker account and break the connection between BNB Beacon Chain and BNB Smart Chain.
As a reminder, the large-scale exploit became known last night — the incident was confirmed both on the official page of BNB Chain and by the chairman of the exchange Changpeng Zhao. The estimated amount of losses is between $ 100 and $ 800 million. The hackers carried out the attack using loans on Venus Protocol.
