MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet can be replenished with a bank card
Representatives of the cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask have announced cooperation with the Mercuryo payment system and said that their users will now be able to buy currencies directly from bank accounts.
Purchases of 18 digital assets from the Metamask app can be paid for using payment cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
«Our integration with Mercuryo helps to simplify the adaptation and acquisition of digital assets, including the ability to buy cryptocurrencies worth up to EUR 699 without complex KYC (identity verification — ed.),» assured Lorenzo Santos, MetaMask product manager.
In December, ConsenSys, the company behind MetaMask, announced a partnership with the payment giant PayPal. And in November, we wrote that MetaMask crypto wallet has a mechanism for tracking the value of NFTs.
ConsenSys found itself at the center of a scandal after it turned out that the company was tracking the actions of MetaMask users. However, the company’s CEO Joseph Lubin later stated that the IP addresses of users are used exclusively for routing.
